Pink Floyd have announced they are putting their differences aside and will play together at the Live 8 concert in London's Hyde Park.

David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Richard Wright last performed together in public in 1981.

Hopes of seeing them again have been constantly dashed by the feud between founder member Waters and the rest of the band.

NBA Commissioner David Stern would never allow it if the state’s sportsbooks take bets on the game, but to appease Stern and increase Las Vegas’ chances of hosting the game, the Nevada Gaming Control Board said it would prohibit betting on the game.

Bookmakers in Las Vegas are fine with that decision
“Absolutely,” said Mark Goldman, sportsbook director at the Venetian hotel. “It’s one game. The handle on it is negligible.

When Donna Muir first tried to play the newest video slot machines at the Quil Ceda Creek Casino, she discovered she couldn't find one available to play.
She tried the Tulalip Casino, where the machines were even more in demand.
"You couldn't even touch one," the Tulalip resident said.
The two casinos are the only places in the world right now that gamblers can play certain new games, according to Les Parks, a Tulalip Tribes board member.

´Desperate Housewives´ mystery solved in finale

It was Mary Alice, the narrator of "Desperate Housewives," who had killed the woman buried in the yard - not her husband, Paul, who nearly paid for the crime with his own execution Sunday night.

"Desperate Housewives" made good Sunday on its pledge to solve the Mary Alice mystery as the smash first season came to an end on Wisteria Lane, the ABC show's mythical slice of suburbia.
A cultural phenomenon like few TV series in years, this saucy blend of melodrama, whodunit and dark comedy had viewers hooked from its first night last October.

The gang of six was arrested at the Gold Coast Airport this week as they tried to fly out after their alleged sting on a baccarat table in Jupiters' high-rollers room, Club Conrad.
Casino sources say Jupiters' playing cards are distinctively branded and kept under tight security, but the Chinese allegedly smuggled in cards and "palmed" them.

Paula Abdul scandal

30.jpg

There's something to be said for being nice to others. America is saying it now on behalf of Paula Abdul.
Corey Clark presented overwhelming evidence on Primetime Live that there was inappropriate behavior between him and Abdul when he was a contestant on American Idol.
This reflects more poorly on her than him, for the same reason Bill Clinton's misconduct outweighed Monica Lewinsky's. In the context of the show, Abdul was an authority figure; Clark was a star-struck youngster.
