Nevada Casinos win record $1.06 billion

As published in Las Vegas Sun recently, gamblers with extra cash from Nevada tax rebates helped to give the state's casinos their biggest month ever - a $1.06 billion win in October.

The state Gaming Control Board reported Friday that the win was up 14.4 percent over the same month a year earlier and marked the 15th positive month in a row for the clubs. "The win is the best month ever in the history of gaming revenue," said the GCB's Frank Streshley

Details of how a syndicate of Chinese gamblers allegedly swindled nearly $1 million from Conrad Jupiter's Casino have emerged in court.Six Chinese nationals were charged with fraud over a scam at the mini baccarat tables in Club Conrad, the high rollers' room of the casino. They were caught at the Gold Coast airport with their winnings in May. Security footage was aired in Southport Magistrate's Court showing how the gang of six allegedly pulled off the stunt.
